I’ve often told my kids “If you and God are good no one else matters.”
Your spiritual journey is yours and no one has spiritual authority over you except God. I do know that in the Bible it addresses spiritual authority and submitting to government, (Romans 13:1 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.) But ultimately that is assuming that the people in power are in total alignment with God.
Now as humans this can get messy because although someone may have another’s best interest at heart, they may want them to only do what they believe is right because let’s face it, we all want it our way and we think our way is the right way. That is why I teach my clients how to tap into their own divine connection so that they will know when something is right for them and when it is not.
We are all at different levels of our spiritual journey. Some people may be ready to take on harder tasks and bigger lessons. Some people may understand things on a deeper level. And some people may be acting in fear.
My suggestion is to use discernment. Be careful or where you put your spiritual trust and where you submit. Use your own gut instinct to know what is right for you and what is not.
“what is right for you is for you and if it’s not for you that is ok too!”
Always pray and trust yourself and seek truth.
I feel that if you are seeking truth you will find Jesus. Now I don’t mean this in a religious, preachy kind of way. I mean that personally you, in your heart will find love and see that unconditional love was what Jesus taught. When you have that divine connection it is easier to see truth and it is easier to stand up for yourself and what is right for you and not fall into letting someone else “take authority” from you.
