Sometimes we can get hung up on “how to” do something. I remember trying to figure all of this out: How do you actually manifest something? How does law of attraction really work? Why isn’t it working? I’m reading all of the books and nothing is changing. What am I missing? I was seriously soul searching and really wanted to make a change in my life and I was reading books upon books trying to find something that would click. I did get little tidbits from all different kinds of “self-help” and “success” books, but I felt like the how to part was always left out! They’d say do this and it’ll be great! And I’d be thinking “ok great, but HOW?”
First: Get over thinking you’re not doing it right. There is no right or wrong way to journal. Grab a pen or pencil or marker or crayon and a piece of paper or a notebook or a fancy journal. LOL. Just do it!
Second: If you don’t know what to journal, you can simply start by writing the words I don’t know what to journal about today but I’m going to journal and start writing to see what comes out.
Third: If you need a little help getting started, decide what the intention is for journaling. Why do you feel you want to journal? Set and intention. I am going to journal today to dive deep into my emotions, I am going to journal to keep track of my daily habits. I am going to journal to start thinking about my goals. Once you know why you want to journal, the words will flow more easily.
